Burger Shack - Toronto

A great little fast food restaurant that is an institution, having served good food in this neighbourhood for years. The menu offers a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items.The char-broiled burgers are amazing! There is a great choice of fresh toppings to customize your burger while you watch. Real cheddar cheese is available along with delicious fresh french fries.The staff at the restaurant are always friendly and accommodating. Although the restaurant is not much to look at, it is clean and the food is very good and good value for your money. A great place to visit when you don't want to cook, or when you need to grab a quick bite to satisfy your hunger.

On a last-minute whim my friend and I went to Burger Shack for dinner. We each had a home burger and shared fries. This is a no-frills restaurant so if you're going for fine dining this is not the place, but if you're going for an amazing home-made burger and delicious fresh fries, Burger Shack IS THE PLACE. It may be difficult to find parking since there are only about 10 spots in the lot which is shared with Pizza Hut. I believe there is parking on the street. We did not have the souvlaki this time but it looked amazing and a lot of people were having it. It is a huge portion and more than enough to share. The chicken fingers and fries dinner also looked amazing. We will definitely be going back to try each of those last two options.

Burger's Priest, Holy Chuck, etc are great, don't get me wrong...but Burger Shack's original home burger with cheese is the one I crave when I really want a burger. Delicious, juicy and fresh, it's a bit like a more delicious, more homemade Harvey's. The onion rings are pretty great too, with a fluffy dough slightly reminiscent of not-too-sweet pancakes. Good food when you are craving something not so good for you

This late night Yonge & Eglinton-ish staple is amazing for your belly. Today, out of character I enjoyed a visit here while the sun was bright and was not disappointed. A Meatatarian myself, I brought my niece who is a vegetarian and she had the 'best veggie burger ever!'I enjoy the service, the '80's old counter style, the chairs that fold, the onion choice of sautéed or not...Always order fresh patty!
