The View - Tonbridge and Malling

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and the portions are generous. The service was excellent, with staff being attentive but not overbearing. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. The restaurant also offers beautiful views. Since it is run by students, I had high hopes for my meal and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I will definitely return and would highly recommend it to others.

We went to the restaurant for the Christmas dinner. The amuse bouche was tasty, the gravlax was delicious, the turkey was moist, and the pigs in blankets, sprouts, red cabbage, parsnips, and roast potatoes were all wonderful. The Christmas pudding and mince pie were also delicious. The service was fantastic and the staff was enthusiastic.

I recently returned to the restaurant at the catering college for a second time and once again had a wonderful dining experience. I started with a delicious haddock fish cake topped with a soft boiled egg, followed by a pork fillet in a superb sauce served with parmentier potatoes, and finished with a refreshing lemon posset. The service provided by the enthusiastic trainees was fantastic, and I also enjoyed a good selection of wine at a reasonable price. Overall, a fantastic meal with great service.

First visit and absolutely blown away by the standard of the food and the service. Lives up to its name for the views over the countryside. We were told that the college wants to close the restaurant next academic year so please try it quickly! Anyone employing graduates from this college will be getting enthusiastic and well trained young people for their hospitality business. Very good value.
