The potato wrapped oysters converted two non-oyster eaters into diehard fans. Our server's recommendation of the Octopus appetizer was spot on. And then the main course... the Halibut platter for two. Well, it easily fed three. The slab (yes, not a slice, a slab! of Halibut was cooked to perfection. Crispy potato croquettes, carrots and roasted radishes complimented it perfectly. And I have to mention the cocktail. Smoked salmon infused vodka, maple, ginger and orange. It could have all gone horribly wrong, but didn't. Beautifully balanced flavours made it one of the tastiest drinks I've had in a while. The Aussies are going home now, fully understanding why I live in this part of the world.
Was told this is a must to go to. Nice place , good service , but to the food did not live up to expectations. Farm to table , in season I get this but , the food was just ok. Too pricey
Great food, well prepared with a bit of a twist, extensive cocktail list and good wine list. Make a reservation before you arrive in town, dinner can be difficult to get a table otherwise.
Food was awesome, very creative and delicious! I expected the atmosphere to be slightly more formal and personal for the price tag.
Dropped in by chance after meeting up with some old friends over from Calgary, seemed to be our modus operandi here on VI - good choice of seafood eats - fresh as you would expect - service just fine - fab selection of drinks to suit all - even the driver!
