The Hatch Waterfront Pub - Tofino

It took almost 1 hour to get our dinner which was greatly overpriced for what we ordered! Menu not great! The waitresses were great, not their fault..been done there that won't go back?!

We tried oysters here for the first time, the server was super friendly and helped us out with everything! We also ordered a calamari which was fresh but a little overcooked. I had an old fad and it was one of the better ones I've had in a while! We will be back.

This is a popular watering hole in Tofino. They share a menu with 1909 so you know the food is good. It is a lively place, sometimes has live music. Just a great place to meet and hand out. Beautiful view of the harbour.

On the recommendation of the front desk staff at our hotel for a pub went up hatch. After looking at the menu just about left but decided to stick it out. $17 Brussels sprouts at a pub? No thank you. Ordered a couple of five ounce pours of deep roots pinot gris, for $13 each. Saw the price and knowing the Winery, expected nine ounces. Ha, nope. Not even a full six. $24 nothing special pepperoni pizza. Crunchy half rack of ribs plus an $8 gigantic side of French fry bits and a tiny little tub of ketchup. Would have actually ordered second glass of wine and asked for more ketchup, were on vacay and just wanted a good time. But our server disappeared. 45 minutes later came by to ask us what how our first bites are. Yeah. Umm. No. Bill please were out. Night one in Tofino. Fail. The food was sub par at any price. At those prices needed to be much better and needed to come with service to match. Hoping we will find a much better place for dinner tonight.

Used to be a crusty sea pirate hangout with bingo and booze. Now upscaled to show panoramas of harbour. By day you can see sport fisherman proudly carrying there catch up the docks. By night it is full westcoast atmosphere and great food. Good night life bar... lots of friendly young surfer locals
