They prepare food to carry. dishes, salads and sandwiches varied and delicious. they also serve drinks and fruit. They deliver very soon in the morning. in our case 5:45.
I tried Red Can way back when they first opened and didn't feel the desire to go back. Wasn't bad, just nothing special enough to draw me back, especially when Tofino has so many amazing options. Since then, I've heard good things so I decided to grab some sandwiches for the beach today. All the ingredients are super fresh but there was just so much mayo on everything that I couldn't taste those ingredients. My husband got the Salami and Calabrese and I got the Turkey and Brie. Both were smothered in mayo. To be fair, if you are a huge mayo fan (which I know some people are), then you'd probably like the sandwiches. We also got the pasta salad and banana bread, neither were anything to write home about. Our lunch was $35. I'd rather spend that at a large number of other places in Tuff rather than Red Can. Everything is fresh and housemade but just lacks something.
A hidden gem in Tofino Industrial Way. The best sandwiches and picnic food for the day. You can eat in, take out, and have a special picnic made for your day travels! Awesome selection of meats, cheese and fresh bread. Had a lovely meal on our day on the water! Thank you for making our meal planning so easy and delicious!
Recommended by our host at Cox Bay Beach Resort, we ordered pizza from RedCan to take back to our resort. My GPS gave us a bit of trouble finding it but it's at the corner of the main road into Tofino and Industrial Way on the right hand side as you turn onto Industrial. We stopped in and ordered our pizza from a list of customizable toppings they have written on a cute chalkboard behind the counter. While my pizza was missing the final addition of arugula that I'd ordered, both pizzas we ordered were delicious. The dough had a nice slightly yeasty taste which went very nicely with our recently purchased Tofino Beer from the microbrewery across the street. The wood fire cooking also made for a delicious flaky/crispy exterior crust with a nice chewy centre. The toppings were fresh and far from the processed and packaged varieties you'd get at a chain pizza place. The chef came out to personally deliver our pizza to the front porch area where they have picnic tables set up to eat in if you preferred. They also had a small indoor dining area. For dessert we purchased a coconut bar/square. Oh my word was it good. We shared one but wished we'd bought two. Great food, gourmet quality and reasonably priced. A must stop to eat in Tofino.
