My wife and I came here for dinner at the end of our holiday, we were slightly unsure of what to expect. The decor is slightly odd, looking more like a tea room than a restaurant and the lights are all on full, so not the most romantic setting. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke good English which we were thankful for as our Italian is embarrassing. The first point we realised we were in for a treat was when some of the best ever tasting homemade bread came out after making our order. Focaccia, farmhouse white and a mixed grain roll that I mentioned how much we liked and the waitress put 4 extra in a bag to take home. The menu is seasonal with a great selection of pasta, meat and fish dishes. There is also a large pizza menu, we saw some coming out and they did look very good. My wife had octopus salad to start, which was the most tender and delicious I have ever had, I had a pumpkin soup with crispy potato balls and truffles which was also very delicious. For mains I had pumpkin gnocchi with game ragu, couldn't fault it at all, my wife had a 24h cooked pork shank, which was absolutely enormous and equally wonderful. For dessert we had a wild blueberry iced parfait with apple fritter and cinder toffee, unbelievably good! With a half litre of prosecco and a soft drink, it all came to a mere €53. This quality in the UK would be almost twice the price without a doubt. After we had paid we had the pleasure of a short chat with the chef who was very friendly. All in all couldn't have been happier, our only regret is not finding this place earlier so we could have come more than once.
My husband and I were vacationing locally and looking to take a cooking lesson. The booking agent recommended Fabio, owner and chef, and we are glad she did! We found Fabio to be talented, knowledgable, gracious, generous and passionate about his craft. Prior to our visit, Fabio asked us what we would be interested in learning and mentioned that it was truffle season! The result was an amazing experience where we were introduced to truffles, learned how to prepare fresh pasta along with all the courses, and followed the lesson up with a delicious tasting menu lunch prepared by Fabio. All in all, this experience was the highlight of our trip! We have all the recipes and knowledge to take back home with us! We would highly recommend this experience!
Ci siamo fermati a pranzo io e il mio moroso per fare un break post mattinata di lavoro e devo dire che ci hanno colto con effetti speciali,un risotto buonissimo e delle tagliatelle al cervo spaziali! Inoltre io sono celiaca allergica e ho mangiato senza problemi, veramente gentili, bravi e ci vediamo presto presto!
Un ristorante con piatti tipici. Gentilezza del personale e ottimo cibo ci hanno fatto trascorrere un paio d'ore veramente in relax. Da assaggiare assolutamente il tagliere con salumi,formaggi, tigelle e gnocco fritto.
