Banning's Pie House - Tigard

Just stopped in after arriving at PDX for a quick lunch before going on our way. We had excellent salads and then noticed their pie menu and that the “Oregonian” rated their pies best in the state. Picked up a marionberry pie and took it to my daughter's for her birthday. It was very good!

Worst chicken pot pie ever! Absolutely no flavor!! Carrot cake, same thing. If I were blindfolded I couldn't tell what I was eating. Chicken was chewy and they forgot to put in the salad dressing. Definitely not worth the price!! First and last time I will go there!

I had never been there but after a long day a friend and I walked in. It was immediate relaxation. It was calm and clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, thanks, Alicia! I found my favorite comfort food on the menu, a full turkey dinner. I look forward to trying other menu offerings real soon. I intend to become a “regular”.

Banning's has been around forever, it seems, but they haven't lost their local family, small business feel. The prices are on the higher end, but the quality of food and quality of service makes it worth it all!:

A great place to have delicious pie, a cup of earl grey and read a book. There menu has so many great options it may be hard to stick to dessert
