Landgasthof Zum Baeren Ug

A colleague and I are in town on business, and Zum Baren is about 20 yards from our lovely Airbnb apartments. It's a really convenient location in a town without much else going on, so it was a pleasant surprise when it turned out to be an excellent family-run restaurant. We have eaten here for lunch and dinner, weekdays and weekends, probably a total of ten times over the last two weeks, and it never disappoints. We've had delicious pork knuckles, pork roasts, trout, steaks, veal, venison, everything. The potato dumplings (personal favorite) are perfect, and the green salads are always fresh and tasty. They only seem to offer two beers, which is a shame, but the wine selection is full of tasty local wines that go perfectly with the food. Pricing is very reasonable. Atmosphere in the main dining room is good, but for the best experience, ask for a table in the old stone cellar. Very rustic and cozy. We arrived here on the way through Saturday night with our daughter. The farm was unexpectedly very well visited. But we still had a table. We had cheese parrots and Cordon Bleu, and there was no wish for drinks. Everything was very delicious. The service here was also 1A, we felt very comfortable and had the feeling that the inn is operated with a lot of love. Every guest was king. We thank you for the wonderful food and the beautiful atmosphere. Absolutely visit. Very quaint and cozy. We stopped here with our daughter on a Saturday night while passing through. The country inn was unexpectedly very well attended. However, we still found a table. We had cheese spaetzle and cordon bleu, and the drinks left nothing to be desired. Everything was very delicious. The service here was so 1A, we felt very comfortable and had the feeling that the inn was run with a lot of love. Every guest was king. Thank you for the wonderful food and the nice atmosphere. Super leckeres Essen, das Rumpsteak ist der Hammer. Reichhaltige Portionen, große Auswahl, super Service. Super delicious food, the rump steak is awesome. Generous portions, large selection, great service.

Good food, friendly staff, great service! Too bad the installed LED lights are a bit too bright, tables sometimes have to be shared and only cash or German bankcards are accepted.
