The fish was excellent, very well balanced and delicate and was further enhanced with the lemon and dipping sauce (mayo based) provided. The sake was great as well but I can’t compare it to much since im not too much of a sake drinker.Onto the ramen. It was easily the best ramen I’ve had. Everything was executed very well. The chashu was perfectly cooked, tinder, very flavorful, and had a bit thicker cut than other chashu I’ve had. The noodles themselves had a very nice bite to them and in my opinion, were perfectly done. The broth was sublime. Very subtle flavors all coming in together to form a delightful brother packed with umami. The only disappointment was the tamago which I found to be a bit less marinated than I wanted but was also perfectly cooked.UPDATE:I don't know of they changed ownership or vendors but the food quality is much lower than the last time I visited. This WAS the closest ramen I've had in the states in terms of quality compared to Japan but now it tastes like it came from an instant noodle pack. Noodle quality is terrible, broth tasted extremely diluted, egg was not marinated, chashu has no flavor and has a chewy texture.
Good taste of Ramen and Variety of alcohol options.I like the menu for cocktails based on days , however did not see other people drinking.Appetizers are ok, modest opinion would be they are competing very well with taste in Chinatown.I will give 5 star for this place as it's a usual reliable restaurant to go after 11pm no matter what. Very good menu.
The ramen and sashimi plate are good. But all the yakitori are using the same sauce, which is a bit heavy, covering the material flavor. And eating the same sauce on different types of yakitori is not a good experience.
Would not recommend this place. Rude host manager. The restaurant was empty and would not seat us. They stated they need 5 people present in order to seat us. We had a party of 6 (and two are them are kids under 6yo) and I had three people with me. Not sure why they could not seat us when half our party was present. I understand if the restaurant was crowded or they had 1 or 2 tables open and could not seat us if our party was not all present, but the place only had 2 table seated.
From the picture on the menu, it looked like we were getting a Mama ika for $16.50, but when it came to our table, it became a baby ika; very small and too pricey. So disappointed!
