Tortas Tacos El Chavocho

The tortas here are excellent! I always go there when I'm in the mood for one!

I had some initial reservations about this place after reading the reviews, but I'm so glad I decided to give it a shot. On my first visit, I ordered the torta cubana, and it turned out to be the best torta I've ever had. It was enormous, packed with flavor, and surprisingly affordable for its size. Since then, I’ve returned many times and have nearly tried the entire menu, allowing me to confidently say that this is one of the best spots in Houston for delicious food at a great price. I also want to give a special mention to the drinks. I tried the watermelon water, and it was fantastic. All the fruit waters are made with fresh fruit, and that really shows in the quality.

This restaurant has disappointing food, high prices, and poor service. They often don’t bring you what you ordered. I wouldn’t recommend it.

If you're a fan of tortas, I highly recommend this place. Their tortas are large and incredibly delicious. Unlike other dry tortas, these are juicy and very fresh!

The food here was outstanding! The flavors were incredible, the atmosphere was delightful, and the service was very welcoming. The quesadilla was bursting with flavor, leaving you craving more. This place is so fantastic that I’m willing to drive over 35 minutes just for their fresas con crema!
