Sonoma Wine At Garden Oaks

This new location definitely does have a different feel compared to the old Heights location but I like it! It strikes a delicate balance between modern but still warm completely comfortable. All of the staff I have experienced are knowledgeable, friendly, provide just the right amount attentiveness. We've been in with as many as eight people at a time and everyone has always found a glass, flight, or bottle of wine they've enjoyed. All of the food I've tried has been first to last bite delicious! The blue cheese apple crostini and El Rey flatbread are favorites. They also offer 30-40% discounts for take-away bottles.

Sonoma is the perfect neighborhood wine bar for Garden Oaks! They always have a great selection and wonderful staff. They are also a great pick for private events and tastings.

Amazing place! Neighborhood gem! The wine is hand picked and and delicious! Best charcuterie around! The service is the best, consistently amazing! Killer vibe, great music and two outdoor patios! Love this place!

Sonoma is by far my favorite wine bar in the Heights/Garden Oaks area. Nick and Hector are incredibly knowledgeable and are always ready with a unique pour when we walk through the door. It can be hard to find a bar nowadays that makes you feel like “you want to go where everybody knows your name”, and that’s the vibe that Nick and Hector set for you. The wine selection is diverse and an adventure to drink through. Sonoma is a must try in Houston!

I love this place! Great wine list selections from all over the world and some craft beers. I get the cheese and charcuterie every time but there is lots of apps/food to choose from. Clean and elegant environment. I often “office” out of here! Ask for Hector, he’s awesome!!!
