I recommend the chicken soup, maduros (sweet plantains) and pollo guisado with arroz congri!!! For the perfect finishing touch, order the flan for dessert. I'm seriously obsessed! We have been ordering take-out, because of the whole COVID Crisis, but I can't wait for things to go back to normal, so we can dine in. This is a very nice looking restaurant with excellent customer service!
Food: Service: Ambience: Price: The good: it has great ambiance, and decor is very classy and the music it’s typical from Cuba, and Latin music. They have a full bar, which has signature cocktails and wine selection. Food was tasty and delicious, right on point. Kudos to Javier our server, he is bilingual, and he was very knowledgeable of the items on the menu, and attentive. Extremely good service. The location was clean and it’s suitable for groups. They have indoor and outdoor dining. They also have seating the bar area. The do catering. Bathrooms are not gender neutral, but are wheel chair accessible and have a baby changing station. They have parking available on the street. The not so good: There was only one server. So he seemed pretty busy. It’s on the smaller side, so depending on the day seating could become limited. The verdict: great location, and food! If you are in the area tried out.
I grew up in Florida and since moving to Texas 3 years ago have missed authentic Cuban food beyond belief. This. Place. Is. Amazing. Absolutely everything we had was delicious and authentic. The service was sub par to be completely honest, incredibly slow and they seemed horribly understaffed BUT...luckily for them their food is super delicious and makes up for it.
Delicious Cuban food and atmosphere! Go hungry because the portions are big! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu. You could definitely share with a friend (or friends) Loved the music and art.
This is easily my new favorite restaurant. My mom and I went here following a workout this morning. We were greeted promptly by the hostess and seated at a comfortable and spacious booth. Our server, Chris (my new favorite server, ever), greeted us at the table and provided drink menus and a recommendation for an appetizer, the Masita Frita con Tostnes. We both ordered mojitos and his recommended appetizer. Our drinks arrived promptly, followed shortly thereafter by our appetizer. Chris took great pains to explain each portion of the dish to us including the uses and flavors of each sauce. The Masita Frita was delicious cunchy and tender at the same time with the perfect amount of seasoning. My mom and I both thought it would be great as a meal in and of itself. When we had questions regarding what to order, Chris asked us what we were considering and provided helpful suggestions and descriptions of each dish and the options available for both authentically Latin and more Americanized flavor profiles. My mom and I decided to share the Sampler plate and the Mofondos Camarones with yucca. We were thrilled with the fall off the bone tenderness of each meat, the complexity of the sauces with the Mofondos, and the thought and care with which they made each dish. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my experience as a whole. The atmosphere was comfortable and well appointed and would be appropriate for a nice and moderately priced date. The service was impeccable. Chris was attentive and gracious with good humor and remarkable poise. We'll definitely be back! We made sure to ask what days he works so we can repeat the whole experience!
