Emelia's Tex-mex - The Colony

I was invited by a friend; we were having a “catch up” breakfast. The breakfast tacos were fantastic and the coffee was good. I was so surprised that this restaurant is right outside my neighborhood amd around the corner from a retail store that I frequent and a fast food restaurant where my son worked for a while and I had no idea about this place. DEFINITELY a hidden gem! Can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu.

This is my first time for this establishment. Food wasn't that bad. A bit on the greasy side for the entree. Customer service was great. The A/C could have been crank up bit. The misses had to use the menu to fan herself. (It wasn't due to any sauce. She didn't use any). But other than that. A 2nd visit can be tried again.

An undiscovered gem in The Colony. The food was delicious and plentiful. The refried beans were very flavorful. The Steak Enchilada was loaded with delicious tender steak. I highly recommend Emilia's Tex-Mex in The Colony!

We got chicken flaunts, chicken enchiladas w/queso, the taco plate brisket burrito. Chicken flaunts wete big, fat, and moist. Flavor is a zero. Absolutely NO seasoning on the chicken. Same for the enchiladas. The queso was ok, but chicken was bland. My husband showed the burrito to me after he cut it in half and the burrito was 2/3 rice!! Hardy any brisket.. so little that I didn't even want a bite to try it. My daughter like the taco plate. Service was VERY quickly brought to our table.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in DFW and the staff are super nice!!
