The Barbecue Pit - The Bronx

I recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to try out Rani's barbecue pit. It's clear that Rani takes pride in her food and has been a dedicated member of the community for over 24 years. She makes everything from scratch, including the samosas and empanadas. The veggie burger with spinach, lentils, and rice was a standout, and the turkey chili and meatloaf were also delicious. Rani and her team put a lot of effort and care into their food, and it shows in the unique flavors and spices used in their dishes. It's worth a trip from anywhere to try out Rani's barbecue pit! And don’t forget about the ribs and chicken in the corn bread.Kid-friendliness: Mac and cheese.Dietary restrictions: Meat and vegetarian.

Best in the city.... far better than any of the fancy schmancy BBQ joints. I'd confidently take any of my food connoisseur friends here to marvel over the marbled meat! No wonder this unassuming spot has outlasted most other establishments. Rani has been in business 24 years- she is the best in the business!!Food: 5/5

Delicious, cozy bbq place with friendly staff and tons of vegetation options. Our daughter loved her plate off the kids'menu too! Will certainly be returning and getting delivery!

Terrible food. Some things undercooked, others overcooked (burned), tasteless, unpleasant consistency, much of it inedible. I gave them more than one chance. How is this place still in business?

Rani is a culinary genius. Her ribs have a DELICIOUS, crusty coating over tender, moist meat. Her fries chicken is the ribs' equal, with a perfectly crispy, non-oily crust over tender, juicy meat. The other delicious items on her menu are oo numerous to tell. Just go and try it!!!
