Golden Fortunes Chinese Takeaway

I was very disappointed with the food at this restaurant. Everything ended up in the trash - the chicken balls were mushy and pink, and the noodles and rice tasted terrible, almost like toothpaste. It was completely inedible.

Every summer when we visit Broadstairs, we always enjoy getting takeout from Golden Fortunes. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the staff are very kind. Not to mention, the food is delicious every time. We have never been disappointed with our experience here.

I have ordered takeout from this restaurant many times over the years and have never been disappointed. The staff are very welcoming and happy to recommend dishes if you're unsure what to order. Our go-to dish is always the Honey Chilli Chicken, it's a definite favorite!

We don't do takeaways (usually). Teenage grand-kids came to stay and insisted on a Chinese, on a Monday, which cut our choices down a little. Remembering friends that use the Golden Fortune regularly we thought it was worth dropping by. Both the girls wanted Sweet Sour Chicken balls, Chicken fried rice and chips. Order taken and within 10-15 minutes their piping hot food with Prawn Crackers was ready. I must say they were overwhelmed by the size and number of chicken balls, so kept some by for lunch the next day. The food was fresh, hot, non greasy and having to make sure it was OK for the teens, I found it delicious. Chips were among the best I have tried. We found it good value for money and well worth the visit. We would certainly recommend.

Golden fortune is our regular favourite Chinese in Thanet. They don’t use msg. And their fried things like chicken balls etc are so beautifully crispy and not greasy. Salt n pepper chips to die for and lots of non standard Chinese takeaway food on offer. Not expensive, not sure what last review was about!
