Guadalajara Mexican Grill Cantina

Nice place. Appears clean from the outside and beautiful atmosphere inside. Floors were a bit dirty with napkins and food, but otherwise clean. The staff and our server were great. The prices were reasonable. We all ordered something else. The appearance of the food was great. I've descended to only four stars because the favors don't stand out as I hoped. My chili rellano tasted only cheese and dough. No chili taste at all. The shredded beef taco was good, but my wife ordered the Chili Verdi plate. It was good, but again lacked this moist and chili taste we enjoy. This plate was a little small at the price. The others in our party had the Birria Tacos. They looked amazing and want to try in the future, but they did not notice any extraordinary flavors. Again, our server was exceptional and always there to help and make suggestions. There were Mariachis and they were great. There was also a very well equipped outdoor area with live music. Overall, we liked this place just a little more taste. We will return, but wish they had these unique flavors that will help us to be there more often.

The place is very clean, the decorations are beautiful and unique. Enjoyed the great music and had chips when we waited for our meal. Our waiter was attentive, and the food comes pretty fast. The Crunchy Tacos have a lot of meat that a plus.. The flautas are good of rice, and beans also have a great taste.. The place is very spacious, with an indoor bar and an outdoor dining. A great place to hang out for 1 or 2 or for an entire family to enjoy a great meal! Get back!

We were here a few other times and always had a great meal, today was just as great! Not too busy at noon, friendly staff. Prompt Service our appetizer, queso fundido was good. Our lunches were hearty portions and served hot. I'm especially about Mexican food and I wasn't disappointed. Chile verde with beans and rice was great. The Macho burrito was a giant filled with Chile Colorado and Chile Verde. We were filled!

Guadalajara Mexican Grill was our favorite restaurant when we first came to the city! Staff are very nice and always have a smile on their faces. Food is amazing! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant.

California needs a better Mexican restaurant. This experience was not great at all. The two matching pigtail hair girls at the host desk seemed to not know what they were doing and seemed lost. They seated people who came in after us first when we only had a party of 2. They were constantly on their phones and even heard them talking bad about customers. The food was bland no flavor. Hard and dry and crispy. Carnitas crunched more than the chips. They were drier than a Popeyes biscuit. Drinks were weak and had no flavor. We tried 3 different drinks and all were so gross. Only the beer was good. You can not go wrong with beer or water. Seriously ONLY order beer here. They can?t mess that up. Hot sauce taste like spaghetti sauce. By far the worse tasting food I?ve had here in California. Order things that did not even come out and honestly I am glad no telling how that tasted. The only thing I enjoyed here was the live music. That says a lot. Bring Texas Mexican food over here. Probably will not come back or recommend.
