Great bar at Zocala. Funky inside. The female staff was friendly and attentive. There is a beautiful small balcony where you can sit and enjoy your drinks during the scene in the Plaza. The beer is cold and the wine is good. Recommended.

The espresso was terrible, but what my experience was really ruined was the most rude, arrogant waiter I've ever met. You need better staff.

The gals were great. After my very negative experience at El Rincon de Toril, they made me a Margarita with Blue Curaçao since most Mexican bars use ConTROY a cheap copycat of Cointreau. in a square green bottle). OK I AM A MARGARITA SNOB....In my home I have hosted tasting parties of 7 kinds of Tequila and 5 types of Triple Sec. Of the 5 ConTROY was the least liked. So Blue Curaçao often the only other choice Not the world’s perfect Margarita but hands down dozens of times better than a few doors down the road. Nice comfy upstairs seating overlooking the activities in the Zocolo. Maybe I shall head to my hotel and sip some Mescal reposada from Oaxca. Great music too. FYI on the rocks is the way to go. Carpe Diem.

Their beer selection was commonplace (no artisanal, only big local beers like Corona, Modelo, and Victoria but they did have a wide selection of other beverages (whiskey, wine, mescal, tequila, rum, etc. . But I thought it was small and not very welcoming.
