I’d say the wait times are about average, but I got there before the rush, so it probably is a long wait time if you go when it’s busy. For a single person, my price was $32 for a burger, fries, beer, and tip. So this place probably isn’t conducive for families.
Burger was way overpriced and dry with no flavor. Crisper fries were basically burnt potato chips. The beer selection was limited because they were out of most beers. My kids got nuggets and grilled cheese but we had to pay $6 extra for their fries. They might as well be considered a fast food joint because you wait in line to order then basically self serve after that. Do not recommend and don’t understand the hype. Very expensive!
The food here is good, in fact it 's better than in the past. Burgers are well cooked, and love the new shoe string fries, they are cooked to perfection, just soft enough. BUT. And it 's a big but (where 's Sir Mix a lot when you need him? The fries are outrageously expensive, the cost is vastly disproportionate to everything else. A large fry, which is a mostly filled paper tray is 9 bucks. To put that into perspective, the king of FF Five Guys, charges 9.25 for a large fry and it 's a literal bag of fries. At this point between the cost of the burger, and trying to get a fry and a drink puts a meal at about $25 per person. Granted the people coming to the Rivah can probably afford that no sweat but it 's a still a tiny bit ridiculous definitely leaves no room to get anything else when we do go. We are simply not gonna spend 60 dollars plus for 2 people at a burger joint, no matter how good.
The door says “Open 7 Days 11AM-10PM.” We drove 30 minutes out here to finally try a “freakshake.” Got here at 8:27 and we were told they had already shut down the machine for the night. For a company that advertises gigantic milkshakes on their many billboards, it was disappointing that we didn’t get the actual only thing we made a special trip out to get. Whatever. We ordered burgers and fries. The burgers weren’t great, but the “large” fries were criminal. We paid $8 each and the fries were barely half cooked- limp and greasy- and were more like a single serving. As we choked down the food we had just received at 8:50, employees were literally lined up at the door waiting to leave and as one employee vacuumed right up on us, another employee yelled “What time is it again?” apparently alluding to the handwritten note on the door that says they would be closing at 9. We absolutely never will be coming back.
After a 15-minute wait for only 1 register... Waiting 35 minutes for a hamburger is ridiculous, and I'm not impressed by the flavor. It was just okay.
