She was very professional and proactively attended to the kids needs. I'm sure we will return throughout our stay here at the Marriott Tampa Westshore.
I'm pretty disappointed after a long travel day. I ordered a meal called the Thai Shrimp Bowl for $41. It was LITERALLY 4 shrimp with white rice and some peppers with soy sauce. This may be a $7 meal at most. Overpriced dog food.
I think 3 stars is very generous, but the food was mediocre at best. Shared several apps: wings, calamari, and bang bang shrimp. All were overcooked and none were very flavorful even when using accompanying sauces. Out of the 3, the wings were probably the best, but that's not saying much. At this point, I was starting to doubt my steak frites entree selection. Was a little encouraged when the waitress came to ask us the temperature we wanted our steak, which I always order rare so that if they slightly overcook it, it's still a juicy medium. When they brought our entrees, the waitress then says all the steaks were cooked medium....not sure why they asked us 15 minutes ago what our preference was. When I cut into it, there was very little pink, medium well to almost well done; really disappointing. Had to breakout the A1 sauce to make it palatable but it there wasn't anything to rescue it. Everyone else's steak suffered too and we ran out of A1. There's too many other places to eat around the hotel, I'd seek out other options next time.
We had the buffet breakfast on a Sunday morning. We dined very early, and service was a bit slow but not bad. Food: The potatoes on the buffet looked great, but they were cold and tasted like they were at least one day old. Some of the fresh fruits were good, some were not so good. We ordered custom omelettes, and both were well-prepared as ordered. Overall cleanliness: above average
There are so many good restaurants in Tampa and a number of them very close to the hotel so I would not be able to recommend this restaurant. Food is mediocre and the service is friendly. I really like the hotel and I have been staying here for about 6+ yrs. During that time the restaurant has never changed. The name is very misleading. There is no blue here. The restaurant is decorated in golds and browns, it's very dated It could definitely use an update. I had the gluten free vegetable pizza. Even though even though I ordered it well done the crust was still soggy towards the middle probably because there was way too much cheese. It was also a bit on the salty side. I think it would've tasted better if there was half the cheese. The prices are typical over priced hotel prices entrees are $35 $40. My pizza which was the size about a 12 inch dinner plate was $18. One of the less expensive things on the menu.
