I had speck on sourded toast and my friend had the big breakfast. eggs were boiled. nasty, toast was also very nicely cooked, but a rash of speck is not enough for 2 slices toast. the menu also said that “fresh juice” was $9.5, but I know how fresh juice tastes and that wasn’t it. for $5 I can go to coles and buy 2l of exactly the same. total we paid $60 for 2 breakfast meals. $6 for a piece of speck is a bit rich. the employees are not even allowed to serve table water (no own mistake, I understand.) I know that we are in a Covid-Affected world, but that seems somewhat extreme. Anyway, if on the hunt after 30m of some classic 80’s and decent, but definitiw over price this is the place for them.
We called here for our breakfast several times during our stay in the nearby four seasons hotel, really decently cooked breakfast with friendly service and not overly expensive in considering its location.
Rude owner and personal. if they can stop somewhere else. we found a cockroach on our cutlery and she even didn't apologize. that is a shame because eating is good, but the service is the worst ever.
I went to brunch today with my wife and a friend, the service left much to wish. first they have a big sign that order here said at the window, so I went into the window to just one. he came to take the order, but without ipad or notizblock to write the order down, he had to go back to the table to ask what we wanted again. I had asked for poached eggs on toast with avocado, but the server advised me to go for the dukkha because it had extra spiced and spiced. I'm sorry, but you dukkha is so slandered that it doesn't deserve the name. when the food arrived, it looked okay, but I noticed a very big piece of ice cream on my food. I picked it up, let my server know and eat my food, not a big thing! my wife had an omelette and just when she finished the last bite, she noticed how a sham hair looked in the omelette. we waited for the server to return, as we would assume that there would be a follow-up apology from the manager, as if we had found eier dish in the other plate. when there was no order, we decided to leave immediately. we have repeated our care on the theke when we pay only our server (I think he was called max) screaming about our shoulders that my wife had eaten everything on the plate and pulled a face as if we were inspecting that we had planted the horns! we didn't want anything to be taken from the bill we wanted the manager to know our problems so they wouldn't happen to anyone again. my wife was very insulted and annoyed as this guy looked at her and cried about her shoulder that she ate. it was not her fault that she found the haare on the last bite. did she let it go because it was found at the end of the meal? does it make less disgusting? it's terrible luck that my wife ate a meal with a hair in it without her knowing. service is appalling, eating easily overpriced for very under seasonal average eating, many places in sydney do amazing eating and I would simply not waste my money on this place again! bad effort!
After finding many places were closed on New Year’s Day, Quay and Co were open and were absolutely rammed! They let us know that they most likely cannot take any more orders for 30 minutes however we highlighted that we are happy to wait. After...orders 2 breakfasts and a coffee, with swift movement we had our breakfast within 20 minutes (whilst they had filled all there tables) I would highly recommend here for food and great coffee combined with excellent service.
