The staff in LumYai restaurant fight with customers just because asked a glass of hot water and inquiry lunch special .

We arrived at 8pm on a Saturday night. At 8:20 they are mopping the floors, stacking chairs and rearranging tables to close. Not made to feel welcome at all. Food ok so much better just to do take away on a Saturday.

Had a quick drink and a bite here after picking my daughter and her friend up from the Royal Easter Show on Friday night. The soft-shell crab was great, and the girls enjoyed their chicken and noodle dishes. The vodka and sodas were also good value.

I rarely write reviews but I was so ticked off about our experience that it prompted me to write this!Admittedly it was the night of Adele and Olympic park was packed ! We booked the restaurant for 5.30, we arrived at 5.20 and the place was nearly full!We were greeted at the door, gave them my name and found out they'd given our table to another group!After a bit of a shuffle around they moved the people from our table to another one! Happy Days!!!!25 minutes passed a no one came near us! We realised they only had 2 waitresses on , 1 of which had to greet and seat as well as take orders and clear tables and 1 bar staff!Crazy on such a busy night! They were constantly turning people away!Finally a waitress took our orders! Yay!We were hoping to use the restaurant toilet because the queues for toilets all through Olympic park were insane! There was no toilet at the restaurant! You had to walk out and down to toilets that were used by ALL of the restaurants in the block! 1 toilet for a lot of people so hence a queue !Eventually they had another waitress arrive but they were all run off their feet! People were being seated at tables that hadn't been cleared! The girl at the bar had about 10 drink order dockets lined up and she was also the cashier totalling everyone's bill when you left! She was sweating and under pump!My glass of wine arrived and it was way under the level line they have on glasses these days! Ripped offEntrees arrived and they were good!Salt and pepper squid was delicious!Then the mains started to come out! 2 at our table ordered chicken Thai fried rice !Servings looked generous, things were looking up!! I couldn't wait for my King prawns in Tamarind sauce with veggies!The Thai rice ended up being really bland!I waited, and waited! Tried to get the waitresses attention, my meal never arrived :(I got up and told the waitress that my meal didn't arrive! By now it was too late for them to start cooking it, I ate some of my friends thai rice and pad Thai!We had to leave for the concert!I would not recommend eating here if there's something big on at Olympic park because they are totally understaffed!Thank God Adele saved the night! She was amazing!

I order take outs from here all the time! Their sticky mango rice as a dessert is a treat! I especially live their Phuket Fried Rice which comes with pineapple! The stir fries are pretty awesome too!
