On Christmas Day 2021, I dined with my family and had low expectations based on a previous experience a few years ago. However, we were all pleasantly surprised and very satisfied. The staff members were polite, friendly, and did an excellent job. There was no rush between our courses, and the timing of the dishes served to everyone was perfect. The portion sizes were generous, and we didn't feel overwhelmed by food; in fact, what we received during our lunch breaks was just right. The only minor issue was that the spuds were a bit undercooked (too hard), but that’s a small complaint. Overall, it was a fantastic experience at the Lydiard Beefeater on Christmas Day. The restaurant is very clean, with friendly and helpful staff. They offer a large selection of food at competitive prices.

The front-of-house staff could benefit from some additional training in greeting guests. However, the waiting staff is very polite, and the burger I had was one of the best I've ever tasted.
