El Cerro Tacos 2 - Swansboro

On a rainy gross day, this restaurant was a great find! We arrived hungry, tired, and wet to find a super friendly staffed, pretty full restaurant, and delicious food! There are tons of fantastic options including every kind of meat as well as many vegetarian options. Definitely recommend!

Looking for some Mexican street food? I would have rated this a five except for some service issues. Giving them the benefit of doubt that they were busy, I'm not going to ding them too badly. It's a chain, but about a thousand miles and in a different universe from Taco Bell and many other places around. My refried beans and rice are the same as you get everywhere else, but it ends there. My taco had shredded meat, and I had an enchilada with Verdi sauce. My wife enjoyed her quesadilla. The service issue was that our server forgot to bring the quesadilla until we had to ask about it. She apologized profusely, but it shouldn't have happened. If you look at the menu I posted, there are many variations of tacos, and they all look good. I always look around when I'm in ethnic restaurants and if I see a lot of people from that culture eating there, I get warm fuzzies that it's close to what they grew up with. Many of the guests here were speaking Spanish, and the menu items are similar to what I've had in Central America. We will be back again.

20 minutes for drinks?. Almost a hour with no food. No apology and charged me for food we didn?t eat there. But took off the four 20 minute wait drinks! Brought cold food. Got home because we didn?t eat or stay anymore and meat all gristle. Not authentic. Mejor la comida en mi casa! Because I look white lady thought our family is not Hispanic. Watch what you say!!! There?s families that speak Spanish and are!! We left after hour and the lady gave to go Box. We will never visit again!!!!!!!!

Wonderful experience! Will definitely be back. The staff were all perfect. The owner came out to ensure everyone was enjoying their dining experience, he even provided some brief history. My visit here was just what I needed oh! And the food! Bring your appetite! They serve generous portions. So, if you are a reheater like myself don't fear there will be plenty to box up and the home. not for lack of trying to finish it all bc its deeeelliiicouuusssss) Also, very clean and comfortable atmosphere. The bathroom was immaculate as was the rest if the restaurant. Try it out! You'll love it!

This place was fantastic, and the atmosphere was cool for Cinco De Mayo! Went with a group of 4 friends, got served fast, and kept our drinks full. And the food was hot and delicious! Definitely gonna go back and try other stuff!
