Tekila Mexican Cantina - Sussex

Cute place. Went for an early dinner wanted to sit outside but the menu is limited if you sit outside. Not sure why, there was only one other table occupied while we were there so you would think they would of just let us order off the regular menu but they made us go inside. Food is alright, not great. We had a Groupon which was nice.

Not a fan of this place... They claim to be short staffed yet we saw at least three or four servers and maybe four tables with customers. Due to claimed short staff they want you to order drinks and food on your phone. Not once did we have anyone check on our table. While the food was ok we probably will not go back.

Tikila is a newer Mexican restaurant in the Sussex area. We arrived and the wait staff very nice but only two handling the whole place in and outside. The food was marginal at best. I felt they forgot to add things like sour cream, salsa and avocado to the naturally supplied items in a Mexican restaurant. We got our food and had to ask for silverware. The fish tacos had no taste. Overall, a big disappointment. Another issue is that they have this wall of sliding doors that they open to the patio. Problem was the flies took over our what was left of enjoyment batted them every few seconds.

1st time there because I had a Groupon. A wonderful gem in the heart of Sussex! Got chicken +chorizo fajitas that were plentiful, fresh and a good value. Very nice indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Go now because they're going to be crowded based on location, food and service.

The food and ambiance were great! Not sure if they were super short staffed or this is their normal service model, but we did not have a server. We had to order our food through an app on our phone and get our drinks from the bar. We wanted waters and had to go to a big, orange Gatorade jug in the corner and self serve ourselves. We also then got a $4 service charge added to our bill for using a credit card (only option to pay) and asked for a tip. Not sure for what? It just wasn't the experience we were expecting for a large group birthday occasion.
