Oya Japanese Restaurant - SUN PEAKS

We had lunch at Oya and it was good. Many sushi and noodles options. Service was pretty quick, but the restaurant was not very busy for lunch. A little on the pricey side.

We ordered all sushi and were thoroughly satisfied. Portions were more than plentiful for the 4 of us to share. The chef specials were tasty! Loved the tempura yam!

It was a holiday today and since most Japanese restaurants are closed, we have no choice but to eat here. It's not bad nor that great, so it's just ok for us. I ordered Bibimbap and it's just like stir-fried beef w/ egg on top. It was a bit bland for me so I keep adding soy sauce. I have eaten only twice in this restaurant as I find the other Japanese restaurants better.

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem leichten Abendessen und stießen im übersichtlichen Zentrum von Sun Peaks schnell auf dieses japanische Restaurant. Mitten im Sommer konnten wir uns abends einen Tisch aussuchen. Offensichtlich ein Familienbetrieb. Freundliche Bedienung. Reichhaltige Auswahl an diversen Gerichten. Für jedes Familienmitglied war etwas passendes zu finden. Alle Speisen sehr schmackhaft. Wir sind satt geworden.

I was really surprised by the quality of the sushi/sashimi at Oya. It was really very very good! The prices reflect the quality of the food. This is a small restaurant, and a wait is not uncommon. You can get take out. YUM!
