My parents decided to try this place after visiting the museum. I was pleasantly surprised by the options and the quality of the food for a museum cafe. I got an omelette and it was quite flavorful and seasoned well. My parents enjoyed their meals too. It’s not the best bang for your buck, but if you are in the area and looking for a decent lunch I would recommend it.
Just had the most amazing lunch at the Cafe. Chopped Chicken Salad Nitro Cold Brew. Ate alone didn’t feel strange whatsoever! The waiter was truly personable the food absolutely DELICIOUS! Will be coming back next time I am in Pittsburgh!
The menu at The Cafe is having an identity crisis. They have vegetarian shawarma! As a Mediterranean person I never heard of that. Shawarma is usually beef or chicken and it comes on a sheesh which translates into skewer. They are serving it with Naan and chutney both are Indian sides AND then they add Shishito which is an Asian spice. I mean make up your mind. I would only go there if I was at the museum and had to eat. Not worth it.
Unfortunately no vegetarian main course on their dinner menu, even though there is one on their online menu.
