Ristornate San Giuda - STRESA

Horrible horrible horrible We waited 1 hour to get our orders taken, people who came after us got their orders and food. We waited even moire later and we never got served, we decided to leave without even getting a drink. We were not the only ones to leave, after we left we saw two other groups leaving the restaurant because they never got their orders. There are 5 other restaurants nearby, if you come here donc ever think about eating here.

Espresso for 1 Euro! Cappuccino for 1.40 euro! We only stopped for a coffee but were amazed by the value, the coffee was good.

Took 2 hours to get a meal and pay. But even worse, I swear, the most impolite not to say outrageous service I EVER experienced in my life, 15 years GDR included. If you are hungry in the area, try the other restaurant vis-a-vis.

We arrived on the most awful of days, you couldn't even see the the hotel/restaurant over the road let alone surrounding mountains! Had a very nice coffee and a fruit tea at a very reasonable price and as weather cleared for us to at least to see the hill in front we decided to walk up, do the obligatory photo in front of monument then go on the Alpyland toboggan. Now raining quite heavily and visibility awful still, we're on holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Walked back down to cafe for another coffee and fruit tea where we were both offered dry clothes to wear whilst they put our really wet ones in a dryer! Considering we had spent under 3 euros on each visit I would rate them 5 stars for just being so lovely.

Ci siamo fermati con L’ idea di un caffè’ poi guardando i piatti che giravano ci e’ venuta voglia della polenta concia. euro di formaggi del territorio filanti su una polenta abbondante con crosticina. Cosa volere di più? Guardando le pizze e panzerotti che giravano sembravano anche queste appetitose. Ci ritorneremo presto per una buona polenta. Non vedo L’ ora. Personale gentilissimo, la signora bionda però…
