Au Gutenberg - Strasbourg

Food was very good. Great escargot. Varied menu, had the salmon and my friend had the steak with frites. Very entertaining and attentive staff. Hans was a hoot!

My family, 2 adults and 2 kids, ate here for a late lunch. We sat outside and we had a beautiful view of the cathedral. All the food was very good! The kids enjoyed a kids meal of sausage, fries, and dessert for only about €9 each for their meals. My husband and I both got a 3 course meal deal for about €22 each. We had French onion soup, a main meal, and a desert. It was all very good! The staff was great as well. If you’re looking for a nice, laid back, dining experience I would definitely recommend this place. We had walked around Strasbourg for a while trying to find somewhere to eat and this place was exactly what I had in mind and it was perfect.

We decided to sat at this place for dinner because of its proximity to the cathedral so we could right after our meal go to enjoy the light show. What a disapointment : Food was ok ish but it was one of the worst service we had in France. Also, don 't go to the restrooms!! You will need to cross the restaurant indoor room, see part of the kitchen and notice how dirty it is. Top Location Worse service

It took us an hour and a half, literally, to decide to leave without eating. We ordered the food, but after almost one hour of not getting it, the waiter apologized saying they had a group of 43 people eating upstairs, and assured us we would be served within 10 minutes. Half an hour later we decided to get up and leave. It took us a while to find another place to eat because it was too late. The whole thing ruined our plans to go to Baden-Baden in the afternoon! One of the waiters was very rude. I highly recommend NOT going there!

The waitress mistook grapes with lentils (no kidding) and meat with cauliflower. Poor quality of meat, poor quality of wine. I wouldn't recommend it, not even to my worst enemies. To avoid.
