Solstice has done an impressive job managing space in their restaurant despite COVID restrictions. Warm, lofty ambiance with lots of wooden beams and paneling. Hostess and wait staff were very kind, if a tiny bit slow. Food was tasty, though perhaps not good enough to earn the price of the meal. Unique cocktails. Large menu with moderately-sized portions. Would recommend the warm table cheese! Would I go again? Sure, if I happened to be at Stowe. But I wouldn’t make a special trip.
I'm sorry, but main dishes are not great... the resort is beautiful... the stuff is great... but food is not good at all.
Really this is 2.5 stars, but Yelp does not allow the .5 to happen, so we are here. We stayed at the lodge at Spruce Peak and they promote Solstice as...
My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant on our first night of our stay. We brought our dog with us, so we sat in the lobby. The server initially brought fries instead of salad as a side for my burger, but quickly corrected the mistake. We later found out from our waitress that the lodge brings in trainees/interns from around the world, which we thought was cool. This may explain some past reviews mentioning slightly imperfect service. Regardless, we ordered a burger ($18), a club house sandwich ($18), and crab rangoon as an appetizer. The food was delicious, though the prices were on the higher side (which is to be expected at a luxury hotel). The crab rangoon was particularly outstanding.
