Coffee At Elliots - Stockton-on-Tees

We visited today with our family. It was stifling hot inside even though it was windy outside. That should have been our first warning sign! We placed our orders and I asked for a chicken salad, which came with dried out chicken, limp salad and was not well presented at all. We also had the experience of dirty glasses fair enough, we asked for them to be cleaned, but they were brought back to the table in a worse state than previously after they were wiped, rather than replaced with clean ones or washed. The food was poor, according to my family, the paninis they ate were bland too. We will never go back it was that bad!

Elliots is a fantastic restaurant with a charming ambiance and welcoming staff. The variety of food and drinks is impressive, and the quality of the food is excellent.

Fast service, delicious coffee, and a great variety of cakes and cookies make this the perfect spot to take a break. The atmosphere is lovely too.

Whilst visiting with family, called in for a drink a snack. There's a few tables outside complete with a blanket/throw to keep you warm if the weather turns, there are about 5 inside so not a big place but nice, friendly welcoming, only fault being the table we sat at was covered in crumbs from the previous customers (issue of the day), but other vacant tables could only accommodate 2 customers, I should have asked for it to be cleaned. The bathroom facilities are very small for anyone with mobility problems this could present issues. Coffees were nice as were the cheese scones. For those with little ones, they also sell a good selection of ice cream.

What a fab little place to go for a bite to eat, a fantastic cup of coffe and an ice cream to top it all off. Called in for something to eat and a cuppa... Had a full English breakfast which was well worth the £4 and very well presented, along with one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. Topped it all off with an ice cream which was delicious! My hubby had similar other than he had pop instead of coffee... The bill was a pleasant surprise in that it wasn't as much as we thought it would have been. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it is a place I would highly recommend and one which I shall be returning to.
