After being greeted at the entrance, I explored the historic farm and enjoyed learning about the old times. The house and garden were beautifully decorated for Christmas, and I particularly enjoyed walking around the garden and grounds due to the nice weather. Some paths were closed due to recent rain, but a helpful coworker directed me to the stone bridge that led to the village, which I found to be very picturesque. Overall, I had a great day enjoying the weather and fresh air. I believe this place would be even more beautiful in the early year or summer months.
I highly recommend visiting Shugborough Hall for its beautiful walled garden, which we enjoyed during each visit. The weather was warm on our latest trip, so we took a stroll down to the house and gardens. We stopped at the Hofcafé and I have to say, I cannot recommend the vegan pasty enough - it was absolutely delicious.
Came here for a walk around the annoying and environment, was blessed to see some beautiful landscape along the way. beautiful architecture of the old world, swamps of the landscape, all along historical and meandering waterways. in any case, it is worth checking, to share moderately hilly.
Had a lovely day here .This is a beautiful place to visit , it was nice to learn some of the history of the place and how Lord Lichfield came to own it .The grounds are vast and lovely to walk around on a sunny day.Its well worth a visit and it's not an expensive day .They have a shuttle bus that takes you from the entrance upto the large mansion. The place has two gift shops , a lovely little cafe and a little farm area with some animals which is nice for children to visit.
The staff at this restaurant is wonderful, there is ample parking available, and the coffee shop serves delicious coffee and amazing cakes. There are plenty of staff members on hand to provide information about the house and its history, or to give directions. The house itself is interesting and the gardens are fantastic. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the car park to the house, but if you need assistance getting there, there is a buggy that runs every 30 minutes. Alternatively, any of the staff members will gladly call the buggy for you at any time.
