El Mexicano - Laplace

The cuisine is truly delectable and reminiscent of home-cooked meals, and the staff members are exceptionally amiable and welcoming.

Going on vacation to Louisiana and I am obsessed with Mexican food back home but had been previously disappointed by some restaraunts around, but this place had it all while also being a nice quiet environment you could enjoy, sweet servers and great food, only reason food is a 4 star is because I personally think the salsa tastes too sweet at the start and others at my table agreed but it was still very tasty.

Good food, very reasonable prices, friendly staff, and generous portions. The refried beans had a very good flavor. It’s not the best Mexican food you’ve ever had, but that’s not why you come to a place like this. Definitely worth a visit for a cheap meal you know everyone will enjoy. Fajita menu items are especially great, and they are generous with chips and salsa.

This place is the best Mexican food and best service within 50 miles. Staff are friendly and even when there busy, I have had no problems with any order. We’ve made with the 15+ years we’ve been going to eat here!!!! I highly recommend trying, if you haven’t been yet…

El Mexicano in LaPlace is the best Mexican restaurant ever! This is about as authentic as it gets! I've been going there for so many years, I lost count! When I walk in, they know where I want to sit and what I'll have to eat and drink! It's family owned and they are the nicest people! I could eat there every day!
