I ordered the fish with ginger and shallots but received prawns instead. I have enjoyed the nasi goreng here before, so I may return in the future. However, it is important for those with allergies to be careful as the staff did not consider this issue a priority.
We spotted Simply Noodles some days ago, and as we were in the area, decided to try their food. We started with Duck Pancakes enjoyable! We then had a Noodles with Beef tasty! and a Combination Hokkien Noodles pure magic!! All was cooked to order, and surprisingly quickly. We sat and ate, but it is also a take away establishment. The food is reasonably priced, and the service is good. There was only one minor flaw.... the Duck wasn't shredded but presented as pieces. Unfortunately there was duck bone in two of the four duck pieces. Will we go back? ABSOLUTELY!
I have been a patron of this restaurant since it first opened. However, I have observed a decrease in the quality and variety of dishes over time. During my most recent visit, I ordered a Laksa and a Wonton Noodle Soup. The Chicken Laksa had minimal chicken and noodles, lacking in other ingredients. While the soup was flavorful, I do not feel that it is worth the price and will not be returning anytime soon.
There are several Simply Noodles locations in Sydney, including St Ives, Macquarie Centre, Top Ryde, Rhodes, Greenwood Plaza, and Warringah Mall. Each store has its own unique atmosphere and offerings. Our favorite spot is in St Ives, located in the upper food court. We always order the Roast Duck and BBQ Pork Laksa with vegetables and chicken - make sure to get both chicken and vegetables in the Laksa. The Laksa is one of the best I've ever had, whether from street vendors or Michelin-starred restaurants. The duck is roasted on-site, and you can taste the difference. It's so delicious that we often take a whole duck home with us. For a consistently satisfying meal, be sure to try the soy Char Kway Teow. In my opinion, the best Laksa and duck can be found at the Warringah Mall location. Whether it's the chefs or my personal preference, this store stands out as my favorite among the Simply Noodles locations. I've had mixed experiences at other restaurants, but Simply Noodles always delivers quality and delicious food. Simply (very) Tasty.
