So, I wanted to give a few of my must-eats!Appetizer: Fried Ravioli or Gumbo10/10 so good!!!!(I dip my bread into the Gumbo and it’s probably my favorite thing ever.)Entree: Veal Marsala or the Filet Mignon!I also order some Alfredo at the table to go with it. I like the mix!Dessert: White Chocolate Bread PuddingIf you knew me (not that you will), you would know that our family is full of SUCKERS for bread pudding and we love this one!I’ve been going to Mandina’s since the opening! And I stop by anytime I’m in the area. I love the staff and the atmosphere! Also, there is a LOT of parking so this restaurant is easy to park at and you don’t have to walk too far!
We came with a group, we could hear our conversations, we were able to share a number of dishes, and they were all delicious. Service was good and the staff was friendly. Portions are large, so we all had take home to enjoy as well. We all want to try their brunch next.
Food and service was very good. I would go back again.
Never again!! Ordered take out which we’ve done several times before. We had an issue many months ago with our take out order not being correct but decided to give it another try. Big mistake! The Chicken Parmesan was burnt and the Chicken Picatta had no seasoning and whatever sauce was on it tasted so bad it was literally inedible. The lettuce in each of our salads was going bad as it was turning brown. And they gave us a loaf and a half of uncooked garlic bread with garlic butter spread on it, but just thrown in an open brown paper bag. The bread was unwrapped and extended slightly out of the open bag. We ordered take out bc we aren’t cooking. But to provide garlic bread with a ton of garlic butter spread on it and unwrapped exposed to whatever was ridiculous!! To say the food was bad is an understatement… it was literally inedible!!
I grew up and lived in Nola for 65 of my 70 yrs on earth. Been to Mandinas on Canal dozens of tines. Today, in Spanish Fort location, the bowl of seafood gumbo had 2 shrimp. Really pathetic. Not how you win over new customers.
