Olivers On The Cape Fear - Southport

An excellent choice to experience to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! We walked in around 4pm on a Friday... Seated by windows overlooking the water, the location is perfect... Our server Jacquelin, was great and the meal was delicious. She brought bread lots of water. We both had salads, petit filets (I added a crab cake to mine), with mashed potatoes which were really good. Oh and by the way, the Chocolate Torte put the exclamation mark on the total experience... I highly recommend Olivers!!

Loved the bright, bubbly hostess. We got the Cape Fear Platter and the Shrimp Po Boy. Both were fresh and delicious. The Pain Killer cocktail is a must have! They also serve Beck's NA beer for those of us who don't drink alcohol! The restaurant itself needs a bit of polishing but had a nice view of the ocean. ?

Burger and fries were very good. My husband had the seafood calabash seafood platter. He said the food was okay but the cod was not good at all and the sauce was frozen. He ordered a class of wine that he never got but was charged for. The server gave him a taste of a white wine after asking for his wine,but never brought a full glass of wine. We paid our bill and just left. Last time dinning here. Hope your experience will be better.

We were looking for somewhere with a water view last minute on a Saturday night when we came over Oliver's. Waiting was fast and the outdoor atmosphere was just perfect. The sunset was beautiful and we even saw a rocket launch while we waited to sit! The music was perfect and the banana pudding was some of the best ive had? Walt was our waiter and he was on the spot all the time. He knew his stuff clearly! This is the first night of our week long baby moon and it could have been better!

7/18/22 I was here and had the burger who was very special. Eric's Big Boy Burger was the name. And let me say... These were the best burgers I had in my 27 years. Nothing compares and honestly, not even sure if Gordon Ramsay himself could come with a better masterpiece. In fact, I am ready to wager, he just NOT COULD come with a more delicious meal. Burger was 12/10, **** Mary's were 12/10, Staff and Service was 12/10. Was my first time here and will probably not be back for another year because on vacation, but if nothing changes, I will definitely come back and try that supposedly Ahi Tuna next. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.
