She was extremely annoyed, and very short answered. Didn?t want to book a time, told me to just stop by whenever and ask for whoever . I went there with my two sisters today at 5:30pm. You walk in the door and no one greets you. I asked to talk to someone about booking a party and was told I had to wait for Vina. She showed up 15 minutes later. Made us feel like we had to beg her to answer a question. We asked to see the banquet room to which proceeded to say? yeah go in?. So we did. We had to turn the lights on ourselves. We waited 20 minutes in the banquet room for someone to come, but noone ever did. We left, said have a great day to Vina and got a ? bye?. We have booked parties here before. Wow a lot has changed! I wonder if Jimmy the owner knows what?s happening. He did a beautiful job renovating the banquet room! Waisted with Vina in charge ! What a shame! That?s no way to treat your customers.
I asked for extra sauce on my eggplant Parmesan grinder. For the first time EVER I was charged for extra sauce...there is virtually NO SAUCE! They added green peppers too. Ruined any eggplant taste! I had ordered my grinder, my husband ordered the clam strip dinner which comes with soup or salad. He chose soup. Went to pick up they shoved a small container of soup in with my grinder and charged 30.00+. When asked about the dinner he was told it wasn't ordered. ? They were charging 20.00 for a cup of soup!!!!! Absolutely RIDICULOUS, finally got his dinner...had to wait for them to make it so my food and his soup were cold. Craziness
Spartan II, no longer associated with Spartan's restaurant, also owns The Station Restaurant Bar in Naugatuck. Attending a recent event, service was attentive, pizzas, salad and wings were good. The white chicken Florentine pizza was our table's favorite, though I'm someone who doesn't think chicken should be on pizza. Taking home leftover pizza, I discovered their Margherita pizza was maybe the best I've had. Full bar.
Excellent all the way around. Was seated fairly quickly. Ordered Lasagna with clam chowder. Waiter brought warm fresh bread out that was really good. Then I got the clam chowder. Oh my gosh it was so delicious. Tried to compliment the waiter on how good it was and he said “I know, it always is”. Uhm, okay. Then the Lasagna came out and it was smothered in cheese and was excellent. I couldn’t quite eat it all no matter how bad I wanted to. So, the food I ordered was excellent. The service...I wouldn’t call it necessarily customer friendly. But perhaps that’s the way the owner wants it. Reading through all the bad reviews, I’d say expect and attitude and stay away from the grinders, but what I had was so amazing I still gave them 5 stars.
They are amazing people that worked there, we recently did an event after my grandmother service, They were kind, attentive and always professional
