Telegraph Big Boy - Southfield

I have been a long-time fan of Big Boy since I was a child, and this location was exceptional. The restaurant was spotless and looked brand new on the inside. I visited at 12:30 today and the manager personally gave me a tour, showing me some items on the menu. The service was quick and the food was delicious!

My salad arrived first, but my friend's never came. Eventually, my spaghetti was brought out without the garlic bread, and my friend's fish and chips came out without the salad. When the waitress brought my friend's food, she mentioned that she would bring the coleslaw, but my friend had requested a salad. Shortly after, a plate was dropped on our table with what seemed to be the garlic bread - it turned out to be a Grecian roll that had been squished on a flat top, with no butter or garlic. My friend tried the fish, but it was overcooked on the outside, and yellow on the inside, not flaking like it should. She returned the dish and asked for a grilled cheese instead. The grilled cheese she received consisted of two slices of bread and two slices of cheese - not what she had expected. When we received our bill, my friend was charged $8.99 for a Slim Jim and fries, in addition to the two $2.69 drinks that we never received a refill on during our two-hour visit. Fortunately, the woman who took our payment was helpful and assisted us in correcting the bill, but it was disappointing that this was necessary in the first place.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this Big Boy location, as my experiences at other locations have been mediocre. The service was great and the food was tasty! I will definitely be returning to this location.

I had an AMAZING experience with my family in this restaurant. the customer service was superb! our food was fresh and hot; I have to say, pretty daring delicious. I would like to thank the team and their area manager heather, who was very hospitable and treated my family and I love good friends. Thanks again young, we'll be back!

We went to big boy and ordered the big boy and fries $10 special. the hamburgers and drinks were good, but the fries were dry, hard and saw old and burned. I was surprised and disappointed. but the type that greeted us and took our order was wonderful so that the 3 stars are for him.
