Wanna Wanna Beach Grill

The rooms, which are not depicted on their website, were dirty and had an unpleasant odor. The walls are very thin, allowing us to hear any conversations or noises from neighboring rooms at all times. It’s impossible to enjoy sitting outside your room since the bar is just outside the door. This could be an ideal spot for someone looking to party and drink, but if you want a clean, quiet place to spend quality time with your family, this is definitely not it. I gave two stars for the beachfront location, but took away points for the lack of cleanliness and privacy.

This restaurant was a blast! We celebrated our 12-year anniversary there on Halloween 2022. The food was fantastic, especially the shrimp. My husband ordered one of their signature drinks, the Turbo Pina, and he absolutely loved it! It’s located right next to the beach, so we enjoyed a front-row view of the stunning sunrise.

We barely touched our food because it was so disappointing. This was the worst seafood experience we've ever had. Our drinks were completely flat and lacked any carbonation, making them taste terrible. The shrimp left an unpleasant aftertaste; they seemed frozen and possibly cooked in old oil. The oysters weren't cleaned properly and were very sandy. I can't believe we just paid for bland, pre-frozen seafood—it's definitely more like bar food. I wonder if the positive reviews are genuine or just from inebriated customers. Save your money and go elsewhere. Even Long John Silver's has better food, which is a shame considering this place is right by the beach. If you're looking for fresh seafood, avoid this restaurant. However, it does seem like a fun spot for a party!

This is a fantastic bar located right on the beach! It's our second year visiting South Padre Island, and this place has become one of our favorites. The bartenders are always friendly and make excellent drinks. The frozen Piña Colada was truly my favorite! The food is consistently delicious and very affordable. Room rating: 4/5.

The food was disappointing, with everything heavily deep-fried. The oysters were served with a strange sauce that my wife did not enjoy at all. The burgers were decent, and the drinks were just okay. There were quite a few flies buzzing around, which made us want to leave quickly. The one redeeming quality was the beautiful location right on the beach. Overall, I'd rate the experience 3 out of 5.
