Red Hut Waffle Shop - South Lake Tahoe

Went here for breakfast and everything was amazing. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Our food Came out super quick even though they were busy and it was delicious. We will come here for breakfast every time we stay in tahoe.

This place was fantastic! We visited on a Thursday around 10:30 and easily got a table for our party of seven. It's a small venue, so I can imagine the wait might be longer on weekends or when we left later. The service was outstanding! Our waiter, who I believe was the only dedicated server, was incredibly attentive and friendly. There were other staff members who assisted, but he seemed to handle all the orders. There was also a young man who helped bring out food and clear tables; he was friendly and very helpful as well. Everyone at the restaurant was genuinely kind and attentive to our needs, especially with our children. The food was delicious—fresh and served in generous portions. We will definitely return when we visit Tahoe again!

I had the chicken and waffles, and it was quite good. There wasn't a lot of chicken, but it was still enjoyable. It's a great spot to stop for a meal while traveling from the city back to the bay. Just what you need when you're on the go!

Wow! This is a genuine old-school mom-and-pop diner. The food is outstanding! They only serve breakfast and lunch, and the portions are very generous. Please note that it's cash only, so be sure to come prepared.

This small café packs a big punch when it comes to flavor! We adore every item on the menu. While there’s limited seating and parking, the food and staff more than make up for it. Prices are very reasonable. Be sure to order the waffles—they're a must! Note that strollers won't fit inside, so it's best to leave them in the car. Red Hut Café is the type of place that quickly becomes a beloved tradition whenever you're in Tahoe. For the best service and shorter wait times, consider visiting outside of peak hours.
