Venezia Pizza - South Haven

The other couple received their food, served by a different staff member, while we were still left waiting. Another group arrived and had their orders taken right away, yet we remained unnoticed. A family that came in after them had the staff rearranging several tables for their convenience. By the time the couple that arrived after us was nearly done with their meal—and had even received breadsticks—I asked about our order's status. To my dismay, I was told that our food hadn't even been started. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also troubling; in hindsight, we should have left upon noticing it, but we were tired and had a long drive ahead of us. I couldn't help but wonder if there was a racial bias at play, as all the customers who received their meals seemed to be Caucasian. I've encountered poor service before, but this was a whole new level of unacceptable. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

Soon after, a group of men came in, and a waitress immediately took their order. When a family arrived and needed tables pushed together, the staff accommodated them without any problems. By the time the couple who came in after us was nearly finished with their meal, we noticed that the staff brought out breadsticks for another table that had come in after us as well. At that point, I decided to ask if our food was almost ready, only to find out they hadn’t even started preparing it. The restaurant was quite messy, which we should have taken as a warning to leave, but we were tired from our long journey home. It was disheartening to observe that only Caucasian diners seemed to be served promptly, while we received remarkably poor service. I strongly advise against dining at this establishment.

Fantastic food and an amazing atmosphere! The owner truly cares about making sure every guest has a pleasant dining experience and enjoys their meals. I've eaten here numerous times over the years, and I’m always satisfied!

Our order was ready when we arrived for pickup, and we were offered the option to wait for a gluten-free pizza to be prepared. However, they didn't suggest omitting the pizza from our order. The kids were tired and hungry, and they could only eat four slices of the pizza. The other pizza we ordered was a Greek variety, which turned out to be excessively spicy. We called to share our disappointment with the service, but they simply informed us that there would be no refund and suggested we come back another time. We definitely won’t be returning!

I ordered takeout, and when I picked up the gluten-free pizza, it was burned. They offered to make a new one, but only if we were willing to wait. There was no mention of a refund, and with tired, hungry kids, that was not an option. We could barely eat four slices of the burnt pizza. The other pizza, a Greek one, was also overcooked. When I called to express my disappointment with the service, they still refused to issue a refund and only offered us the chance to come back for another pizza. We definitely won’t be returning to this restaurant again!
