Bellevue - Sorrent

This restaurant, and the view it provides, is a hidden gem. This place had 1 review, which was a good review, and we decided to take a chance. We were rewarded with a great meal, great service and fantastic view of Sorrento and the Mediterranean. Do yourself a favor and book this place.

This restaurant is INSIDE Grand Hotel Capodimonte. Never did I expect that eating at a hotel would be anything exquisite but boy was I wrong!! Totally ate those words. If you are staying at this hotel, EAT.HERE!!! The atmosphere was a romantic feel with trees, ivy leaves, hanging lights, and candles; the service here was exceptional; and the view of the Bay of Naples along with Sorrento at night was breath taking. We both decided to share a bottle of wine with the octopus appetizer, followed by the steamed lobster with a side of pasta. The lobster was THE best lobster I 've ever had. Literally #1. It was juicy, cooked just right, and seasoned to perfection. The side of pasta the waiter suggested along with it was tender, tasted homemade, and was just a large enough portion to help fill you up. For dessert we ordered a chocolate soufflé it was firm on the outside and molten chocolate on the inside (JUST the way a lava cake should be cooked). Cannot say enough good things about the meal at this restaurant. Go go go!!!! Enjoyed every minute of it.
