Red Tracton's Steakhouse - Solana Beach

I absolutely love this steakhouse and every time I come back to Solana Beach I always make a point of going to Red Tractons to have their black and halibut and a vodka martini!

It is a really bad tourist trap. I am a big city person and I enjoy a restaurant noise. But this place is so loud, that you actually have to shout to the person sitting next to you. So a nice dinner conversation is out of question. If the food were extraordinary, we don't mind expensive restaurants. But it really angers me when I pay a lot of money for just OK food. In this restaurant it was below OK. Nothing we ate was tasty. It is an old place, (old as in needs TLC, not old with history), very very touristic with typical touristic tasting food. Save your money for a good restaurant and there are plenty of them in DelMar Solana Beach area.

This restaurant is definitely “old school “. Great venue, great huge menu, with something for everyone and over the top service. Everything additional , so make sure the wallet is full. But, whatever you order, regardless of the cost, it will be excellent and enjoyable. This place is an experience.

Always our place for a special dinner. Love the old time steakhouse vibe. Food and drinks are always of excellent quality. Customer service is professional, accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend. Equal to Musso Frank in Hollywood.
