Charlie's - Smithville

I don't typically visit bars just for drinks, and this place specializes in beer and wine. It's got a cozy vibe and feels very much like a neighborhood spot. Both the patrons and staff are friendly and welcoming. Beers are reasonably priced at around $3. They do offer food, but it's mostly limited to frozen pizza, chips, and similar snacks. I mainly go for the karaoke, which they host on Saturdays, and I believe they have it on Fridays as well. Smoking is permitted, or at least it seemed that way, as many people were smoking. Overall, it's just a straightforward neighborhood bar. Price per person: $1–10.

The smoke is so thick you could slice it with a knife! This place has a classic beer joint vibe, without an ATM but featuring slot machines, a jukebox, and five pool tables. Price per person: $10–20. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 3/5.

They say they have karaoke on Saturday night, even called before going. Got there and were told no karaoke due to not enough customers. Waste of time for sure!!!

I wasn't there for very long, and it seemed okay overall, but I found it wasn’t very accommodating for wheelchair users or non-smokers.

The atmosphere was smoky and dimly lit. I can't say I've seen many patrons during the two times I've visited, or even when I've just driven past. I won’t be returning, as I really dislike leaving the place smelling like an ashtray. It was so bad that I had to leave my clothes outside!
