Aroma Bistro - Smithville

We were served by a young girl who was quite slow and inattentive. After we placed our order, we noticed it was ready, but it took 15 minutes for it to be brought to our table. When it finally arrived, they realized one order was incorrect. They took our order for the correct dish, but it took another 20 minutes to bring that out while the rest of us were already eating. Meanwhile, the wrong meal was left sitting for over 35 minutes before eventually being given to the table behind us. The combination of poor service and good food means we won't be returning. It's disappointing because this place used to be top-notch, but now it's far from it.

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and it took 15 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation for 6:30. We then waited another 15 minutes for the waitress to bring us menus and water. My husband and I ordered the pasta carbonara, but when it arrived, it resembled fettuccine Alfredo instead. The chicken was overcooked and dry, and the pasta had the texture of homemade noodles. I couldn't understand why there were diced tomatoes and onions included—this was not what we anticipated based on the menu description.

I visited today for brunch, and the service was fantastic. I ordered the shrimp macaroni, but unfortunately, two hours later, I found myself feeling very unwell and vomiting. I called to inform the staff in hopes of preventing anyone else from getting sick, but they didn’t seem very concerned. I really hope this issue can be addressed! Shrimp macaroni is my favorite dish, and I’d love to come back again!

Honestly I was very excited to go here because it seems like they had a lot of authentic food here.However they were either short staffed or something. We were given water not attended to for another 30 minutes asked for drinks and ordered food.After an hour of waiting we finally received our food which was COLD.They did make it right take off the cold food. But i left hungry w/ belly full if mimosa because I couldn't eat the cold steak chilaquiles I ordered.I would want to give it another try because i do think they have good food from what I've heard. Just an underwhelming 1st experience. . Maybe ask for the female server instead next time.

Ate here on a Friday night. Arrived at 5:30 and had no problem getting table but it was filling up by the time we left. Loved the pineapple margarita that by itself made this meal worth it. The queso fundido chips were excellent too. We had the chicken alfredo chicken salad. Strawberry cake was a highlight too. Good service. We will be back.
