Shake Shack Old Orchard - Skokie

Even on the busiest lunch rush hours, this Shake Shack is rarely understaffed and very efficient at getting orders out at a good pace. The staff there is very willing to help you out if there are any concerns or questions. They recently installed self-order kiosks which makes ordering in-person very easy, but they still have a person at the register if you prefer that. It can get a bit crowded and noisy when trying to dine-in, but that’s not the business’ fault.

Good was excellent and faster than expected. This was always a great spot for a burger with friends. During the last time I visited, I noticed almost all of the available tables were dirty and cluttered with people's trash... Many people were wandering around looking for a clean place to sit and eat but no luck. One customer was asking if anyone could come out and wipe.. It seemed that everyone was in the back/kitchen too busy to come up and attend to her. Saw a few employees just hanging out near the bathroom on their phones too... Very frustrating and sad to see all these customers standing and waiting with their trays of food being ignored...

This location only had a kiosk option for ordering. Here is a tip: if you are in a hurry, do not order the chicken sandwich. It took considerably longer than the hamburger my friends ordered at the same time. The chicken sandwich was excellent, though. For me, it was worth the wait.

They no longer have a person taking your order and have a tablet that is a pain to use and you can't go back and add to your order. The order will completely cancel if you try to go back. There was three or four guys working just standing around talking and weren't even willing to help when you see people visibly having issues.

Burgers here are fantastic. Service is really good. Definitely worth going. Only down is high priced for fast food but definitely will continue going.
