Came to visit Texas and let me tell you this place was far the best food I’ve had! moment me and my gf walked in we were greeted with a smile and since we didn’t know the menu they kindly explained it to us. Food was well served. We ordered a brisket plate with potato salad and green spaghetti. I’m giving it 5 stars!! Leaving Texas soon we will definitely be back!! The best Valley style brisket I have tasted. Well seasoned and lightly smoked. Charro beans, what can I say! Lots of options to try! On my next trip took a to-go meal of brisket, charro beans and mustard style potato salad with all the trimmings. Better than ever. Hard working and friendliest folks you would ever meet!

My husband and I finally got a chance to try it today (5/31/24) after following them on Facebook for a couple of months. Feels very 'mom and pop ' when you enter which is great...the best places do. There were a few items unavailable but the owner (at least I think it was) made some great recommendations. My husband ordered the Tejano plate (3 meats 2 sides) with rice and potato salad and I ordered the Edinburg plate (4 meats 2 sides) with green spaghetti and potato salad. Everything was so delicious! The meats were seasoned really well and had that great smokey taste! The potato salad was creamy with a touch of tang and sweetness that balanced with the meat nicely. The rice was fluffy and flavourful. Green spaghetti was nice and creamy! You definitely get your moneys worth with these plates...I could only finish half of mine. We 'll definitely be back to try more!

Best brisket hands down! Had 2 brisket tacos. Very tasteful, tortillas are so good and freshly made.

Drove from San Antonio, this place is amazing. Great food, money well spent , the owners are such awesome ppl. We will definitely be back. It surely is worth the drive. Thank you Vargas BBQ for a great experience.
