Chop - SISTER BAY

Somehow the communication from the outside reservation gal and the inside waiter were not in sync with our reservation, so we were sent to the bar, and apparently missed our timing for the early special you have. Our waitress helped to resolve it. but it was nerve wracking. The mashed potatoes have been Luke warm on both of my visits. Our steak was excellent as well as the salad .

We arrived earlier than our reservation time and we were seated immediately! Loved the Knob Creek CHOP Old Fashioned (WI style). Food was outstanding and a good value. Our kids recommended this restaurant to us, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Staff worked together and the restaurant ran very efficiently. We didn’t feel rushed to eat or drink. We will be back!

We had a wonderful experience at Chop . We chose the early seating menu and had a 5:00 reservation outside. Due to the weather we called at 3:00 to ask if we could change to inside seating and we were changed to inside with no problem. Our server was excellent I apologize for not remembering his name} he saw to our every need. The service was quick and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back when we are in Sister Bay.

Excellent steaks, beyond tender and flavorful. The compound butters are a great touch.

I would recommend avoiding Chop. We gave it another chance after not eating there for 3 years. We should not have. The service was the poorest I have experienced in a long time. It started with the hostess walking us in and telling us our table number upstairs and to ask someone upstairs where that is. Our food orders were messed up several times. The food was fine. Heard numerous people on the patio complaining about how bad the service was. Only poor experience we have had in Door County.
