Chez Chou Paradiso - Sion

Well, having spent many years in London, you can't really expect anything wild and fancy in small provincial Sion, so this is really Cantonese ish food that has been adapted for provincial Switzerland, so plates with knives and forks, fairly bland flavours, but the quality is fine. Service was good, but I have one major problem: we went as a family and my son has coeliac, so has to eat gluten free. He really wanted the noodles with prawns noodles are not gluten free, ok, so we asked for rice. When the bill came, they had added 1CHF for replacing the noodles with rice how petty!! How much more time, and expense is it to replace noodles with rice? And all because my son would otherwise be sick, i.e. effectively a tax on having a disease. Oh, and I forgot a 2nd problem: my wife ordered tofu (which wasn't great but that's not the point). It came with rice that had bacon in! If you order a so called vegetarian dish, you should probably not get bits of bacon in the side order, right??? One good thing they had comics for the kids which was thoughtful....

Ate there a couple of times. The food is very good and the wait staff is very nice. All the menu is interesting.
