Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe had to return to this restaurant when passing through Siolim, as we often did, and also met up with friends for a meal. The restaurant is located opposite the car park behind the temple. Rohan, the owner, always welcomed us on our visits and served us various non-alcoholic drinks, as well as delicious pastries and samosas. The prices were still very affordable, and it was no surprise to see it busy with takeout orders. We took food to enjoy in our apartment on multiple occasions.
We were told this cafe had 'the best samosas in Goa', we had stopped to visit Ganapati Mandir (Ganesh Temple) and Atharv Cafe is opposite the car park, so we decided we had to pop in to see if the claim was correct.Rohan, the owner, welcomed us to the small cafe where we had lunch of a variety of pastries, cakes with cold drinks and masala chai. Not forgetting the delicious samosas, Truly delicious and certainly living up to what we had been told! The cafe is a very small local Goan establishment where if you are looking for somewhere to eat that is different from the tourist trap restaurants, where they serve authentic Goan food, it is defintely a place to visit. We visited a second time and tried more samosas, stuffed battered chillis and bought some extra to take away and share with some friends. I asked what the special advertised on the wall was (not understanding Hindi) and was told it was Oyster Xacuti and was offered a sample to try. Delicious! On receiving the bill we were not sure if we had been charged correctly as the price was so good. When we told some Goan friends back in Calangute they knew of Atharv and said it was the best in Siolim and the best priced.Definitely worth a visit.
We decided to revisit this restaurant while passing through Siolim, a place we frequent often and where we meet up with friends for a meal. Located opposite the car park behind the temple, Rohan, the owner, always welcomed us warmly during our visits. We enjoyed a variety of non-alcoholic drinks and incredibly delicious pastries and samosas. The prices were still very affordable, which explained why the restaurant was always bustling with customers getting takeout. We also took food back to our apartment to enjoy on several occasions.
We were informed that this cafe in Goa had the best samosas, so we decided to check it out after visiting Ganapati Mandir (Ganesh Temple) as it is located opposite the car park. The owner, Rohan, greeted us warmly at the small cafe where we enjoyed a lunch of pastries, cakes, cold drinks, and masala chai. The samosas were truly delicious and lived up to their reputation. The cafe, a quaint local Goan establishment, offers authentic Goan food in a non-touristy setting. We returned for a second visit to savor more samosas, stuffed battered chillis, and purchased extra to share with friends. Upon inquiring about a special item on the menu (in Hindi), we were offered a sample of Oyster Xacuti, which was also delightful. Surprisingly, the bill was very reasonable, leading us to question if we were charged correctly. Our Goan friends in Calangute confirmed that Atharv is the best and most reasonably priced cafe in Siolim. A visit to this cafe is definitely recommended.
