Vintra Wineshop - Sintra

The owner ran out and purchased lots of good food: cheese and hams for us when we asked about food. Wine is his real strength. Located right in the Boutique Hotel this is a great alternative place for a light dinner.

Great varied selection of wines and Port, Tapas plate was superb. Hosts were magnificent. Olga made 2 great selections for us, Pedro was very informative about wines and port. Their selection of Champagne and wine for us were excellent. We then decided to order tapas and drink our purchases on the terrace. Great location, very relaxed. It was my wife's birthday and they made us so welcome, with candles and music, very impromptu and very enjoyable. Plus great local info on where to eat and visit. I highly recommend popping by for a bottle or glass of something and a tapas plate. Wonderful hosts in a very relaxed atmosphere. If only all wine shops could be like this. but then I'd never leave. Remember this is a wineshop not a restaurant. And what a Wineshop!

Vintra is a really small place located just beside the sintra boutique hotel , but is independent. Here, there 's a large and really nice selection of Portuguese wines all of them can be tasted by glass or bottle and Pedro, the owner, will talk with you or not if you want to stay alone, but anyway, as he used to work in the wine sector, his advices are very good and specific. You can also share a fine selection of cheeses and cured meats to eat. We spent there a real nice moment, talking with the owner and other customers in a cosy mood, We totally recommend this best bar à vins in the place of Sintra . We enjoy and will be back. Bruno
